The Department of Science and Technology VI (DOST VI) hosts a Proficiency Testing (PT) for the calibration of non-automatic weighing instrument and temperature-controlled enclosure at the Aklan Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO).

Organized by the Southern Metrology Proficiency Testing Center, the PT scheme aimed to assess the precision and consistency of measurement outcomes, thereby ensuring the calibration laboratory’s ability to perform to the level of competence and quality required.

Various DOST Regional Metrology Laboratories participated during the activity including DOST-Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) National Metrology Laboratory that served as the reference laboratory.

The DOST VI Metrology Laboratory was represented by Mr. Mark V. Rosales and Mr. Kirk A. Aguirre.
