THE LAST six days of the year, December 26-31, 2023 to be exact, will see businesses, municipalities and the capital Roxas City of the province of Capiz abundant with offerings at super reduced prices, festive in amazing sights and sounds and really joyful in heart and spirit.
The event: 1st CAPIZ GRAND SHOPPING & TRAVEL SALE.
Vehicle dealerships, food and beverage distributors , travel and tour services leaders, resort, hotel restaurant and bakery frontrunners, fishpond owners and deep sea fishermen, haulers and traders, mud crab, blue crab, prawn and shrimp dealers, wellness and grooming entrepreneurs, optical, dental and medical clinics, artists, souvenir, pasalubong and garment manufacturers and dealers, malls and their tenants, shopping centers and many many more numbering at least 200 will treat resident Capiznons, balikbayans, Western Visayans, other Filipinos and foreigners to a variety of goods and services at reduced prices and freebies.
December 26-31, 2023 will be historical as the Capiz Provincial Government under the vibrant leadership of Gov. Fredenil H. Castro partners with the newly organized and inducted MICE Alliance of Capiz (MAC) headed by Dr. Abundio Balgos ably supported by Michelle del Rosario, Joy Ortiz-Ignacio and the various groups from the air, sea and land transport, accommodation, food and beverage, travel, tours and events, health, wellness and grooming, trainings and academic sectors and other related enterprises.
Capiz Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer Alphonsus Tesoro is Head Secretariat and Action Center Chief of the 1st Capiz Grand Shopping and Travel Sale.
MICE stands for Meetings, Incentives, Conventions/Conferences and Exhibitions/Events.
The 1st Capiz Grand Shopping and Travel Sale is the inaugural Capiz provincial government and MICE Alliance of Capiz (MAC) partnership project. It is aimed at establishing another grand annual event in the province of Capiz in addition to Capiztahan Festival held every summer.
Meetings, Conventions/Conferences, Exhibitions/Events Tourism ( MICE) is one of the three flagship tourism products of the province of Capiz as identified by its local governments and private sector in a workshop participated in by both late last year.
The other two are Heritage and Cultural Tourism and Nature-Based and Agro-Fishery Tourism.
