CAPIZ – A construction worker was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bailan District Hospital after being electrocuted in Barangay Tacas, Pontevedra.
“Junjun” was a 41-year-old resident of the said barangay.
According to the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station, they received a report from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council about the incident early Sunday morning, Nov. 19.
Police investigation revealed that the victim’s coworker, “Lito,” discovered Junjun unconscious while still holding onto an electrical cable.
At present, Junjun’s remains are at a local funeral home.
Authorities are conducting further investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the electrocution./PN
