ILOILO – Fifteen classrooms at the Dacutan Elementary School in Dumangas town were ransacked on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Dumangas police said two siblings, who were the first to arrive in school, discovered the break-in – the Grade 2 classroom door was already wide open.
When the teachers later arrived, they further discovered that a total of 15 classrooms were forcibly opened.
Police Master Sergeant Ramon Baylon, investigator of the Dumangas Municipal Police Station, said the robbers entered the classrooms by breaking the barrel bolts and padlocks.
Burglars carted away a laptop from the Grade 2 classroom and the class fund from the kindergarten classroom, among others.
No suspect has so far been identified. As of this writing, Dumangas police investigation was ongoing./PN
