ILOILO – A motorcycle crashed against a metal post in Barangay Ungka 1, Pavia town on Monday, Nov. 20.
Driver Gezriele Solania, 26, and resident of Barangay Lanag, Santa Barbara town, succumbed to severe body injuries.
The Pavia Emergency Response Team rushed the victim to the Western Visayas Sanitarium and General Hospital in Sta. Barbara but he was pronounced dead upon arrival, police said.
Police Corporal Crisande Maquiling of the Pavia Municipal Police Station said bakery worker Solania was driving his Honda motorcycle from his workplace in Mandurriao, Iloilo City on his way home when he overshot the gutter and hit the metal post.
Maquiling added the victim’s helmet was damaged./PN
