CAPIZ – A 71-year-old woman and her grandson died of electrocution yesterday, Nov. 23, in Sitio Bajay, Barangay Agtatacay Sur, Sapian.
They were identified as Criselda Obuyes and John Dave Gallardo, 21, both residents of the said barangay.
John Dave was crossing a field around 9 a.m. when he slipped and was accidentally caught on a live wire.
Witnessing her grandson’s distress, Criselda rushed to his aid. However, she also fell victim to the lethal electrical charge.
The Sapian Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office transported the two to Mambusao District Hospital, where they were pronounced “dead on arrival.”/PN
