CAPIZ – The Mambusao Emergency Response Unit, together with the Mambusao Municipal Police Station and barangay officials, continues its search operation as of this writing for a 21-year-old who reportedly drowned in the Liboo-Batiano River in Mambusao town.
Captain Alladen Talaban, officer-in-charge of Mambusao Municipal Police Station, said Deo “Toto, “Quisto, of the town’s Barangay Batiano, was swimming across the river accompanied by four others on Thursday morning, Nov. 23, when he suddenly disappeared.
His companions initially made rescue efforts, but due to the strong current, the four young individuals sought help from the locals.
It was learned that the water level has risen due to the recent heavy rainfall in the province.
Talaban urged anyone who may have any information or may have found the body of “Toto” to immediately report it to the police or contact the lad’s family./PN
