ILOILO – The 22-year-old Esara Javier of Barangay Aspera, Sara town is the newly-elected Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation president of Iloilo province.
Javier, a graduating student at Saint Paul’s University taking a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing Management program, was the sole candidate for the position during the election on Friday at Iloilo National High School in La Paz, Iloilo City.
All 43 SK Municipal Federation presidents attended the selection.
Javier will take over from outgoing SK Federation president Ma. Angelica Bianca Requinto-Espinosa.
“Thankful gid ako kay subong nag-isa gid ang province of Iloilo kay makita ninyo sa lineup wala gid nagkontrahanay despite lain ang political color or group man, nag-isa gid kag magtib-ong sang isa ka kawsa,” Javier told members of the media.
Under her leadership, among her priority programs are aiding the Iloilo provincial government under the leadership of Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. in providing solutions to problems in education, sports development, and mental health among youth.
Javier also expressed readiness to address concerns about reading comprehension.
Defensor administered the oath of office of the new SK Federation officers on Friday.
