Indeed, the so-called UN Special Rapporteur Ian Fry, who self-proclaims expertise in climate change and human rights, exposed his ignorance and arrogance by calling for the abolition of the NTF-ELCAC and the repeal of the Anti-Terrorism Law.
As former senator Ping Lacson said on social media, โThe arrogant behavior of this supercilious white-skinned alien makes him think he is better than Congress and the Supreme Court of the Republic of the Philippines.โ
“Human rights,” a Western cultural construct, aims not only to impose their narrative but also to control developing and Third World countries, particularly in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
“Human rights” are primarily a Western invention, an abstract idealization created by people in comfortable societies who might have little or no exposure to the realities of societies they perceive as backward.
It appears that UN Special Rapporteur Ian Fry visited parts of the Philippines from Nov. 6 to 15 to meet with various organizations and government officials to examine the country’s situation and its approach to climate change.
The funny thing is that he only met with the usual suspects i.e., pseudo communists, CPP/NPA/NDF front organizations pretending to be โhuman rights/environmental defendersโ and useful idiots, who told him their sob stories of being โred taggedโ and the threat to their existence by the Anti-Terrorism Law and the NTF-ELCAC.
Fry, naively and obviously “woke,” believed everything he was told “hook, line, and sinker.” He even claimed that the NTF-ELCAC is a military organization, proving himself to be just another useful idiot.
Note that he came to the Philippines under the guise of studying the effects of climate change, yet he emerged as an alleged expert on insurgency and terrorism, which is absurd.
It’s clear that the only beneficiaries of the abolition of the NTF-ELCAC and the Anti-Terrorism Law would be those seeking to overthrow and take control of the legitimate government.

Our message to Ian Fry.
Go Home. Leave us alone.
You cannot expect respect from all of us whom you have maligned and judged by your irresponsible, ill-informed, and baseless accusations.
You call for the abolition of the NTF-ELCAC as if you have the right, nay the authority to do so.
You are downright presumptuous Mr. Fry.
Strong words indeed to the bollocks of this Ian Fry.
Now, let’s segue to the three-day transport strike scheduled for November 20, 21, and 22, 2023. As expected, on day one in “I Am Iloilo City,” it seemed as if there was no strike at all, with 100% of the modern jeep cooperatives, part of the “No To Transport Strike Coalition,” operating normally and transporting commuters.
To counter the three-day strike, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 6 assured the public of sufficient utility jeepney services, especially in Iloilo City. The strike, organized by traditional jeepney operator groups, aimed to protest against the looming consolidation deadline.
Atty. Salvador Altura, LTFRB-6 legal counsel, highlighted the commitment of various transport cooperatives and corporations in the region to continue operations during the strike.
“Many cooperatives and corporations, especially those from Iloilo City and province, have confirmed their non-participation in the protest,” Altura stated.
Edgar Salarda, former president of the Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operators Nationwide (Piston)-Panay and now head of the Alliance for Peace Sustainable Development Transport Cooperative, noted that Piston no longer has a significant presence in Iloilo.
As Plan B, the Iloilo City Government, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Public Safety Transportation Management Office, and the Iloilo City Police Office prepared a โLibre Sakayโ scheme for city employees and other commuters affected by the strike.
The only noisy group were the usual suspects and useful idiots with their placards and boring slogans, which eventually fizzled out by lunchtime. It was business as usual in “I Am Iloilo City.”/PN
