ILOILO – A lightning strike that hit a shed in Barangay Cabunlawan, Lambunao, resulted in the loss of one life on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 29. Two others were also injured.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council identified the fatality as Charlie Latoza, 40.
Meanwhile, siblings Joemar Linghon, 25, and Jerelyn, 18, are currently receiving medical treatment. Joemar is receiving care at Lambunao District Hospital, while Jerelyn has been transferred to Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo City for specialized treatment.
The elder Linghon, who was from work, fetched his younger sister from school. They were supposedly on their way home to Barangay Badu, Calinog, Iloilo, when the heavy rains poured, according to Staff Sergeant Ramon Ligayada of the Lambunao police./PN
