ILOILO City – Thousands of scouts and scoutmasters from Passi City and the municipalities of Lambunao and Dumangas joined the recent Camp Pagsusubok held at the Pintados de Passi Camp Grand Arena.
A three-day tabletop exercise, Camp Pagsusubok, was held prior to Passi City’s hosting of the 18th national jamboree of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), which will be held on Dec. 11-17.
Scouters participated in a fellowship, mock parade, skills training, campfire, evaluation, and feedback during the exercise intended to test the facilities and the readiness of the venue for the upcoming national event guided by the theme “Youth Engagement: Sustaining Relevance and Strengthening Resilience.”
City Mayor and Western Visayas Scouting Chairperson Atty. Stephen A. Palmares expressed his gratitude for the cooperation extended by the parents and the children.
“To all the parents and children, thank you so much for your cooperation. I know how hard it is, but let us help one another to show our preparations for the national jamboree and the entire city of Passi,” said Palmares, who also acknowledged Passinhons, here and abroad, for their help in preparing for the event.
