PCSO Recognized as Top Performing Government Agency

The Presidential Communication Office-Freedom of Information (PCO-FOI) has recognized the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) as one of the most requested and high-performing government agencies in the E-FOI portal category.

PCSO General Manager Melquiades A Robles, Chairman Junie E. Cua, and Assistant General Manager Atty. Lauro A. Patiag received the award from PCO Undersecretary Cherbett Karen Maralit and Assistant Secretary Jefferson Ang during the FOI Summit on Tuesday (November 21) at the Hilton Hotel, Pasay City.

“This recognition serves as a testament to the public’s trust and the PCSO’s commitment to providing essential services and a more transparent and accessible government,” GM Robles said.

The PCSO was commended for achieving a closure rate of at least 90% for transactions falling within the range of 250-499 requests on the Electronic Freedom of Information portal.

The agency primarily received information requests related to the Medical Assistance Program, Lotto concerns, and STL franchises and operations.

As we strive to meet the demands of the public and uphold the principles of transparency, the PCSO remains steadfast in its commitment to improve its services further and strengthen its engagement with the community,” GM Robles added.
