ILOILO City – A 33-year-old American national and his minor daughter were found dead inside their rented apartment in Imperial Subdivision 2, Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro.
The bodies of “Adrian” and 11-year-old “Sophia” were discovered at approximately 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
According to Jaro police chief, Major Eduardo Siacon, the victims reportedly committed suicide by taking poisonous liquid.
Siacon said that Adrian might have mixed poison with water, then told his daughter to drink and also took it afterward.
“The body of Adrian was found near the living room, while the body of his daughter was found in her room,” Siacon added.
Investigators have yet to determine the reason for the suicide as of this writing./PN
