BACOLOD City – Law enforcement authorities in Negros Occidental have achieved a significant breakthrough in the fight against illegal drugs and loose firearms following the successful implementation of search warrants in EB Magalona town and Kabankalan City on Friday, Dec. 15.
Elements of EB Magalona Municipal Police Station, with the 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company (NOCPMFC), arrested alias “Ramel,” tagged as a high-value suspect, and alias “Reynalin,” at the town’s Hacienda Banilad 1, Barangay Nanca.
More or less 105 grams of suspected shabu, with a standard drug price of P714,000, were recovered.
Police also found one .45 pistol with ammunition.
Meanwhile, the Kabankalan City Police Station, in collaboration with Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 and the 2nd NOCPMFC, seized P13,600 of suspected shabu, two .45 pistols, three magazines, and ammunition.
Suspect “Danilo” was cornered at his residence on Burgos Street in the city’s Barangay 9.
Brigadier General Sidney N. Villaflor, director of the Police Regional Office 6, lauded the operating teams for their successful operation and affirmed the commitment of law enforcement to continue combating criminality and illegal drugs.
“Isa lamang po itong patunay na kailangan natin ang tulong ng bawat isa para masugpo ang kriminalidad at iligal na droga sa ating rehiyon,” he said./PN
