ILOILO – The long arm of the law successfully neutralized two fugitives from the provinces of Antique and Guimaras recently.
The search for alias “Gualdaver,” accused of rape with homicide, came to an end when operatives from the Pandan Municipal Police Station successfully arrested him while in hiding in Barangay Ondoy, Ivisan, Capiz, on Dec. 15.
Authorities were armed with an arrest warrant issued by Hon. Antonio B. Bantolo, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) 6, Branch 13 in Culasi, Antique, dated March 1, 2005.
Meanwhile, the Tracker Team of the Jordan Municipal Police Station in Guimaras apprehended the province’s No. 4 most wanted individual for the crime of rape by sexual assault.
The arrest of alias “Alfredo” took place in Barangay Poblacion, Jordan town on Dec. 15 as well.
Alfredo’s arrest warrant was issued by Hon. Rosario Abigail Magay Dris-Villanueva, Presiding Judge of RTC-6 in Jordan, Guimaras, dated Dec. 13, 2023.
Currently, the arrested individuals are under police custody and will be turned over to the court of origin for further legal proceedings./PN
