ILOILO – The provincial government’s over 2,000 regular employees will be receiving four different bonuses this Christmas.
These are the Collective Negotiation Agreement Incentives (CNAI), Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), a one-time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), and a Performance-Based Bonus (PBB).
Here’s the breakdown of the bonuses:
* CNAI – P18,000
* SRI – P20,000
* PEI – P5,000
* PBB – 50 percent of the monthly salary
This would make the employees’ Christmas particularly merry, said Ma. Airis Sobrevega Penetrante, population program officer of the Provincial Population Office and president of the Association of Iloilo Provincial Government Employees (AIPGE).
The distribution of these bonuses is set to begin this week.
Penetrante said a request had been made to the Local Finance Committee to expedite the release process, with the aim of distributing the bonuses before Christmas, considering the holiday on Dec. 6.
Meanwhile, job order and contract of service employees are set to receive gratuity incentives worth P5,000 each. This follows the approval by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. of a one-time gratuity pay of not more than P5,000 each for such government employees who have completed at least four months of satisfactory service as of Dec. 15 and whose contracts are still in effect as of that date.
Penetrante advised employees to spend their bonuses wisely.
The 14th Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) approved Appropriation Ordinance No. 2023-03, Series of 2023, during its 74th Regular Session on Dec. 19 authorizing Supplemental Budget No. 2 for 2023 amounting to P176,772,666.74 for the General Fund and P28,823,508.60 for the Local Economic Enterprise.
These funds are earmarked for necessary expenditures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery in the Province of Iloilo.
Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul N. Banias, acting as the officer-in-charge governor, submitted a letter to the 14th SP on Dec. 14, requesting the approval of Supplemental Budget No. 2. This budget includes allocations for the bonuses of regular employees of the Iloilo provincial government and those employed in province-run hospitals./PN
