BACOLOD City – Two lives were lost in separate drowning incidents in the province of Negros Occidental on New Year.
A five-year-old girl was found unresponsive at around 4 p.m. in a resort’s kiddie pool in Purok 2, Barangay Alim, Hinoba-an, according to the police.
The child was immediately rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m. on the same day.
Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man was found lifeless by his live-in partner in a resort in Barangay Tortosa, Manapla.
The drowning victim was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
