ILOILO City – Two wanted persons from the provinces of Capiz and Negros Occidental were collared in separate police operations on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
The Tracker Team of Victorias City Police Station captured alias “Negro,” a city-level No. 2 most wanted person for carnapping in Barangay 2, Victorias City.
Negro was served with an arrest warrant issued by Hon. Edgar Revilla Tupas, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6), Branch 46 in Bacolod City dated Dec. 28, 2023.
The bail recommended for his temporary liberty was set at P300,000.
Meanwhile, in the municipality of Sigma in Capiz, the Tracker Team of the Sigma Municipal Police Station captured alias “Alex,” who was wanted for rape.
An arrest warrant signed by Hon. Daniel Antonio Gerardo S. Amular, Presiding Judge of the RTC-6 Branch 21 in Mambusao, Capiz dated Oct. 9, 2014 was issued against Alex in Sigma town’s Barangay Poblacion Norte. No bail was recommended.
Brigadier General Sidney N. Villaflor, the region’s top cop, commended the operating units for their notable accomplishments and also thanked the public for their continued support of the police.
“Mas mapapadali ang paghuli sa mga may pananagutan sa batas kung tayong lahat ay nagtutulungan, para sa mas ligtas at mapayapang komunidad,” Villaflor said./PN
