ROXAS City – A warehouse on New Road, Barangay Banica burned down on Friday night, Jan. 5.
The blaze left an estimated P500,000 in damage to Llanas Marketing, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Roxas City.
The infrastructure that housed various plasticwares, hardware items, and electrical equipment quickly succumbed to the flames, causing significant damage and escalating the fire level to “second alarm” status.
Fire Inspector Delsie Borja received a call at around 6:30 p.m. reporting the incident. Firefighting took around two hours, with the authorities declaring a “fire under control” by 8:20 a.m.
Authorities are currently conducting further investigation into the cause of the blaze./PN
