Police search yields ‘shabu,’ gun and ammo

ANTIQUE – Suspected shabu and a firearm with ammunition were recovered from a 37-year-old man in Barangay 4, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Policemen of San Jose de Buenavista, together with the Antique Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Antique, went to Reynante “Renren” I. Villaluna’s house, wielding two search warrants.

The warrants were signed by Executive Judge Ernesto Abijay, Jr. of the Regional Trial Court 6, Branch 10 for the violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, or Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition.

Recovered were 60 grams of suspected shabu estimated to be worth P408,000 and non-drug evidence, which included a homemade pistol, five 5.56 live rounds of rounds of ammunition, and a black sling bag used to store the seized items./PN
