KALIBO, Aklan – Bishop Jose Corazon Tala-oc urged the faithful to share their talents, time, and resources with those in need most.
During a homily, Tala-oc called devotees to be childlike in spirit by fostering the wonder of trust and gratitude for the goodness of God.
Bishop Tala-oc gave this homily during the Pilgrims Mass on Sunday morning in celebration of the Feast of the Señor Sto. Niño de Kalibo.
“Jesus especially welcomed the little children that gathered around him and stressed that the kingdom belongs to them. If anyone cannot accept the kingdom of heaven like a child, they cannot also enter that kingdom. This is a challenge for all of us,” he said.
“We invite our dear Sto. Niño, our Lord Jesus, to stay with us and to walk with us on this journey. We have been given these gifts and time to be good stewards of His blessings. Many of you did your best, especially when you traveled from faraway places just to join in this worship and thanksgiving.”
The feast of the Señor Sto. Niño de Kalibo is celebrated from Jan. 3 to 21./PN
