“IT’S THE BEST thing ever.” These were the words of Gabbi Garcia when she described the opportunity of working with Kapamilya actors in her recent series “Unbreak My Heart.”
In an interview with Luis Manzano, Gabbi said that the collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA was not only a win for the actors but also for the people behind the camera.
“Alam mo ‘yun parang hindi lang for actors, for everybody in the industry nadagdagan ‘yung trabaho. Like right now sa MMFF, si DongYan (Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera) may Star Cinema sila. And then ‘Unbreak My Heart’ ‘yung first collab ni ABS-CBN and GMA and many, many more to come so it’s nice,” she said. The actress revealed that she gained a lot of learnings when she worked in the series.
“Iba ‘yung culture ni ABS CBN, iba ‘yung culture ni GMA. And na-experience ko ‘yan with ‘Unbreak My Heart’ because it was a Dreamscape Production. I solely came from GMA since 2014 so parang I’ve never experienced any other working place, environment, people, culture unless nung nag-collab so talagang ang dami kong natutunan, na-expose ka lalo na hindi lang pala ganito ang work setting, pwede rin pa lang ganito,” she relayed.
The actress also shared that she also gained a new friend, her co-star Jodi Sta. Maria through “Unbreak My Heart.”
“Si ate Jodi it was such an unexpected relationship. Until now we are still in touch. I went to her house one time after taping na ‘to ha, like tapos na ‘yung ‘Unbreak My Heart,’ para mag-bonding, mag-chikahan,” she relayed.
“Sobrang treasured person ko si ate Jodi and I never knew that it can be possible kasi siyempre in my head she’s Jodi Sta. Maria, she’s one of the best actresses in the Philippines and sobrang kabado ako na to be working with her,” she added. Gabbi said that Jodi was one of the main reasons why she always looked forward to their tapings. (PUSH)
