ILOILO City – The second staging of the Dinagyang ILOmination drew thousands of spectators on Friday, Jan. 26.
Seven participating tribes – Tribu Ilonggohanon, Tribu Kahirup, Tribu Manduryaw, Tribu Sagasa, Tribu Sidlangan, Tribu IAFA, and Tribu Buntag-tala – wowed the crowd with their lively dance movements and luminous costumes that created a mesmerizing display of lights.
This ILOmination street dance competition was a testament to the unity, creativity and cultural richness of the Ilonggos, showcasing Ilonggo values and their collective spirit and devotion to Señor Sto. Niño.
As one of the major events of this year’s Dinagyang Festival, the dazzling spectacle of lights surely left a lasting impression of joy, camaraderie, and celebration, embodying the essence of the frstival and the resilience of the people of Iloilo City./PN
