ILOILO City – A man charged with violating Republic Act 9516 (Illegal Possession, Manufacture, Dealing in, Acquisition, or Disposition of Firearms, Ammunitions, or Explosives) was cornered while in hiding on Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan.
Combined forces of the Sta. Barbara Municipal Police Station (MPS), Malay MPS, and the 601st Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 apprehended alias “Richard” at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27.
The 46-year-old No. 1 municipal-level most wanted person was served with his arrest warrant under Criminal Case No. 09-67815 issued by Presiding Judge Jose Mauricio Gomez of the Regional Trial Court 6, Branch 28 in Iloilo City.
The arrested person is presently under the custody of Sta. Barbara MPS for booking and will be turned over to the court where the case is pending.
