BACOLOD City – A drinking session turned violent in La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
The altercation on Sunday, Feb. 4, at approximately 3 p.m. in Sitio Tulo-tulo, Barangay Haguimit, left 30-year-old Joeven Pillado critically injured.
According to initial reports from the La Carlota City Police Station, the victim, his 20-year-old nephew and suspect Marjun Pillado, and Marjun’s brother were in a drinking session when the suspect allegedly attacked, repeatedly stabbing Joeven with a bladed weapon.
The victim managed to flee but sustained wounds to multiple body parts.
The local rescue team transported Joeven for urgent medical care at Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital. He was later transferred to a hospital in Bacolod City for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the La Carlota police initiated a pursuit operation to locate and apprehend the suspect./PN
