BACOLOD City – A businessman was killed in a shooting incident on Rizal Street, Barangay IV-Poblacion in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
The victim has been identified as Nickie Grucen, 46, a resident of the said area.
Grucen’s wife, Gina, told the police that the victim was standing outside their stall at around 6:55 p.m. on Saturday when the suspect approached and fired.
According to the initial investigation by the Himamaylan City Police, the still-unidentified suspect was wearing a white t-shirt at the time of the incident.
Grucen was rushed to the Governor Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The authorities have already launched a hot pursuit operation./PN
