ILOILO City – Nine sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P816,000 were seized from a live-in couple in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay North Baluarte, Molo district on Saturday night, Feb. 17.
“Jessie” and “Margie”, both tagged as high-value individuals, were residents of Barangay North Baluarte, Molo and Barangay Mabolo Delgado, City Proper, respectively.
Aside from the 120 grams of suspected shabu, officers of the Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit also recovered the P15,000 buy-bust money, aluminum foil, cell phone, and sling bag.
North Baluarte barangay captain Alan Aurelio said Jessie was previously jailed in Antique province also for illegal drugs.
The suspects are currently in the custody of the Molo police station. They will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
