ILOILO City – New directors will take over the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) and Antique Police Provincial Office (APPO).
Police Brigadier General Jack Wanky, the newly installed director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), confirmed that Police Colonel Leo Pamittan will be relieved from his post as NOCPPO director effective today after a two-year stint.
He will be replaced by Police Colonel Rainerio De Chavez who was previously assigned in Batangas.
Chavez was a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class 2000.
“Two years na kasi si NOCPPO director (Pamittan) so we have to replace him through the order from the higher office,” said Wanky who will lead the turnover of command ceremony at the NOCPPO headquarters.
Police Colonel Rogelio Abran will also soon exit as APPO director.
“I was advised that APPO director will be relieved pero wala pang date. I am waiting for the order kung kailan. Higher post naman ang lilipatan niya,” Wanky said.
Abran took the helm of APPO in May 2023.
As of this writing, Wanky has yet to receive the name of Abran’s replacement.
“So far, ‘yon lang ang mga changes natin. Galing sa itaas ang order,” the PRO-6 director added./PN
