BORACAY – Authorities recently apprehended two motor bancas for violating the ‘one entry, one exit’ policy of Boracay Island in the municipality of Malay, Aklan.

During a joint operation conducted by the 2nd Aklan Provincial Mobile Force Company and the Malay police, vessel “Ma. Aryana Marina” was intercepted while docking at Sitio Lugutan, Barangay Manoc-Manoc.

Another boat named “Two Sisters” was intercepted while docking at Puka Beach at the northern end of Boracay under Barangay Yapak.

Consequently, citation tickets were issued to the boats, and the captains were brought to the Malay Police Station for proper documentation.

At present, the vessels are under the custody of the Malay police.

It is known that under Provincial Ordinance No. 05-032, or the One Entry, One Exit Policy, the docking of maritime vessels on the shores of Malay without proper documentation is strictly prohibited for public safety./PN
