Over P450K goods, cash looted from San Carlos mall

BACOLOD City – At least P450,600 in cash and valuables were taken from a shopping mall in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

The heist was believed to have occurred early Black Saturday morning, March 30.

Major Ryan Villasario of San Carlos police said mall employees discovered the robbery when they arrived at about 8:30 a.m. for work.

Villasario suspects that the robbers used the air conditioning duct to gain entry and carry out the offense.

The thieves managed to steal P33,000 in cash, items worth P2,000, and nine cellphone units worth P82,000 from one establishment alone.

In another enterprise, 10 cellphone units worth P119,000 were taken.

In the third business stall, robbers carted P10,000 in cash, perfume bottles, backpacks, and four laptops worth P200,000.

The police authorities continue to collaborate with the mall management as the investigation ensues./PN
