ILOILO – Responders grappled with three separate fire incidents in Sta. Barbara town on the first day of the month.
Two grass fires were reported from barangays Tungay and Agutayan at approximately 8:40 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., respectively.
The third fire broke out at around 12 noon in a junk shop in Barangay Bolong Oeste.
Initial investigation of the Sta. Barabara Fire Station revealed that the source of the blaze was a burning car tire.
Fire responders from Pavia and Cabatuan towns, as well as other volunteers, augmented./PN
