Known locally as Islas de Gigantes, the Gigantes group of islands is famous for pristine beaches, clear waters, and unique marine life.

It garnered international recognition and was listed by Forbes in 2016 as one of the “20 Most Beautiful Places in the World”.

The islands offer a variety of natural attractions including the renowned Cabugao Gamay Island, known for its iconic viewing deck and as a prime spot for photographs.

Tangke Saltwater Lagoon and Bantigue Island are also popular for their stunning landscapes and are often compared to the beautiful lagoons of Palawan.

Travel to Gigantes is commonly routed through Iloilo City or Roxas City, with local transportation options available to reach Carles, where boat services offer access to the islands.

Tourists are advised to visit during the dry season, from November to May, to make the most of the island-hopping experiences./PN
