Van-SUV collision sends three persons to hospital

ILOILO – Three persons were injured after a sport utility vehicle (SUV) crashed against a van around 2:25 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, in Barangay Pandan, Lambunao town.

Police said Engr. Japril Alayacyac, 36, and a resident of Pusil, Numancia, Aklan, suffered a fractured leg while nurse Queeny Sol Sustituedo, 31, and her daughter, of Barangay Cubay, Lambunao, sustained scratches on their bodies.

According to Police Major Roy Tayona, chief of the Lambunao Municipal Police Station, Sustituedo and her child was on their way home from Calinog town, but the latter had fallen asleep while driving the Ford Everest and accidentally collided with Alayacyac’s van.

The three were brought by the responding police officers to the Dr. Ricardo Ladrido Memorial District Hospital.

Lambunao police said both parties have agreed to settle and not to file any cases related to the accident./PN
