ILOILO – Charged with theft, the No. 3 most wanted person of Pavia town was arrested in the town’s Barangay Mali-ao.
The 49-year-old Marlon Sunico, a resident of the town’s Barangay Jibao-an, was nabbed around 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, May 4.
Officers of the Pavia Municipal Police Station (MPS) carried out the arrest through the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Carmela Mae Farrol Mallada-Tungui of the 13th Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region in Santa Barbara and Pavia, Iloilo, dated September 4, 2023.
Upon his arrest, Pavia police chief Major Dadje Delima said they also seized from Sunico four grams of suspected shabu valued at around P14,000 and a homemade shotgun with four live ammunition.
Delima said Sunico had been previously arrested for illegal drugs but was released from jail following a plea bargain agreement.
The suspect was detained at the Pavia MPS.
He is facing additional charges for violations of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act)./PN
