ILOILO – Police seized approximately P1.29 million worth of suspected shabu from a high-value target during a raid in Barangay Mali-ao, Pavia town.
The suspect was identified as alias “Edmon,” 36, and a resident of the aforementioned barangay.
Joint operatives of the Pavia Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Drug Enforcement Team carried out the operation through a search warrant issued by Judge Victorino Oliveros Maniba of the 6th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court – Branch 39 for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) around 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7.
Aside from the 190 grams of illegal substance, police also confiscated non-drug-related items.
Pavia police said the suspect was also included in the list of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
