ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) apprehended 499 individuals wanted for various crimes across Western Visayas during a focused month-long operation in April.
The operations, which consisted of 425 separate police actions, were carried out by different units within the region, leading to the capture of 74 most wanted persons sand 425 other wanted persons.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) and the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) each recorded 14 arrests of most wanted persons, making them the leaders in this category.
They were closely followed by the Capiz PPO with 13 arrests.
The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) also made significant contributions, apprehending nine and seven individuals respectively.
In terms of arresting other wanted persons, Negros Occidental PPO was at the forefront with 191 arrests. It was followed by the IPPO with 66 and the ICPO with 37 arrests.
Antique and Capiz reported 27 arrests each, while Bacolod City, Guimaras, and Aklan registered 24, 23, and 23 arrests, respectively.
This total marks a slight increase over the 496 arrests recorded in March 2024./PN
