VETERAN actress Sharon Cuneta described her relationship to daughter KC Concepcion as “estranged,” after they filed a cyberlibel against showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin.
“Anuman ang problema namin ng panganay ko kasi at this point we’re estranged and I’m very, very hurt and there are things na tama na ‘yun, there are things na amin na lang,” Cuneta told reporters.
Amid all the challenges, Cuneta said that she will still love her kids.
“Pagbalik-baliktarin man ang mundo, mahal mo ‘yung anak mo eh so tiis-tiis na lang bilang nanay pero darating sa point na ayaw mo na ring isiksik ang sarili ko sa ‘kin. I’m tired,” she said.
Former senator Kiko Pangilinan admitted that recent allegations on their relationship status really affected their family.
“May pamilya rin sila, siguro naman sana naiintindihan nila na hindi ginagawa ‘yun, paulit-ulit pa,” he said.
The couple went to the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office on Friday morning, May 10, and filed a cyberlibel complaint against Fermin.
Meanwhile, Concepcion penned a heartfelt message for Cuneta on Mother’s Day, promising that she will always strive to make her proud.
“To my beautiful mama, it’s your day … I pray for us to enjoy life’s pleasures and adventures together soon. You’re the first person I ever met, and ever loved, it’s because of you that I’m here today,” she said.
“Trust in the way you raised me – I will always strive to make you proud and feel that having me was worth it … I love you. I wish I could give you the world so you wouldn’t have to worry about anything for another second. Happy Mother’s Day mama!” (ABS-CBN News)
