ILOILO – Approximately P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu was seized from two drug suspects in Barangay Santol, San Dionisio town.
Alias “Bryan,” 40, was tagged by police as a high-value target while alias “John,” 34, was categorized as a street-level individual.
Authorities arrested the suspects around 3:38 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, after handing over a plastic sachet containing alleged illegal substance to a poseur buyer.
Joint operatives of the San Dionisio Municipal Police Station (MPS), Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Iloilo Maritime Police confiscated a total of 13 sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 250 grams.
The suspects were taken into custody by the San Dionisio MPS.
They are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, director of the Police Regional Office 6, commended his men for hauling a huge amount of illegal drugs.
“Kudos to all personnel who carried out this operation. Let us remain vigilant as we
continuously intensify our campaign against illegal drugs,” said Wanky. /PN
