AKLAN – A construction worker was hacked by a security guard at a bunkhouse in Barangay Bulwang, Numancia town on Thursday evening, May 23.
The 40-year-old Willy Borja, a resident of Barangay Tambuan, Malinao town, sustained hack wounds on his head, shoulder and other parts of the body. He was brought to the Aklan Provincial Hospital.
Based on the initial investigation of the Numancia Municipal Police Station, a heated argument ensued between the victim and the suspect identified as Mark Nervar, a resident of Barangay Bulwang.
Police said the suspect later took his bolo and hacked the victim.
Nervar immediately fled.
Numancia police launched a hot pursuit operation against the suspect./PN
