ANTIQUE – A man was hacked by his drinking buddy around 12:45 p.m. on Monday, May 27, in Barangay San Joaquin, Pandan town.
The 37-year-old Orly Cabot, a resident of the above village, sustained injury on his right shoulder.
He was recuperating at the Justice Calixto Zaldivar Memorial District Hospital.
Pandan police’s investigation revealed that while having a drinking binge, the victim became embroiled in a misunderstanding with the suspect identified as Reynato Jontillano, 40, also a resident of Barangay San Joaquin.
The police added that the suspect went home thereafter but later came back with a bolo and hacked the victim.
Responding policemen recovered at the crime scene nine-inch and 12-inch bolos.
The suspect remained at large as of this writing./PN
