AKLAN – A motorcycle driver and a tricycle passenger were injured following a four-vehicle collision on Acevedo Street in Barangay Poblacion, Kalibo town around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30.
Both victims sustained minor injuries, while all four vehicles suffered damages and were impounded at the Kalibo Municipal Police Station.
According to the investigation of the Kalibo police, the car’s brakes malfunctioned and the driver alias “Jun,” 39, and a resident of the town’s Camp Pastor Martelino, Barangay New Buswang, lost control of it.
The car then hit the two motorcycles driven by a 56-year-old man from Numancia town and a 21-year-old from Makato town. Due to the impact, one motorcycle crashed against a tricycle driven by a 56-year-old man from Barangay Andagao, Kalibo. A passenger got thrown out of the tricycle.
The Kalibo police added that the involved drivers and the passenger of the tricycle have agreed to settle the accident./PN
