ILOILO – A worker died while three others were injured after the delivery truck they were riding overshot the road and turned turtle when it fell into the nearby rice field in Barangay Tamangi, San Dionisio town around 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 1.
The fatality was identified as Arvin Base, a resident of the town’s Purok 12, Barangay Poblacion, according to Police Captain Edward Villanis, chief of the San Dionisio Municipal Police Station (MPS).
The three injured included alias “Drew,” the truck driver and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Poblacion.
Police said the three jumped off the truck before it fell into the rice field.
Villanis said the truck was on its way to the northern part of the province to deliver the construction materials.
He added that the driver lost control of the truck overloaded with construction materials and it overshot the road./PN
