Senior high school student shot dead in Bacolod

BACOLOD City – A Grade 11 student in this city was shot to death by two unidentified suspects inside their house in Granada Heights Subdivision, Barangay Granada past 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 2.

The 20-year-old alias “NB” sustained a gunshot wound on his chest and two more on his leg, according to Police Station 5 chief Captain Portia Nillosan.

He was rushed to the Metro Bacolod Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Nillosan said while the victim was playing billiards a red Toyota Vios with no plate number stopped in front of his house.

The police chief added that the victim ran inside their house but he was chased by two armed suspects who got out of the vehicle.

The suspects destroyed the door of the victim’s room and shot him.

Nillosan added the victim’s parents, who witnessed the incident, were unharmed.

Three bullets of caliber .45 firearm were recovered from the crime scene.

As of this writing, police were still investigating the incident to identify the gunmen and determine the motive of the killing./PN
