LAUTARO Martinez drilled a late go-ahead goal as Argentina pulled off a 1-0 victory over Chile to reach the 2024 Copa America quarterfinals on Tuesday night (Wednesday in the Philippines) at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA.
The Inter Milan striker broke the scoreless tie in the 88th minute as he knocked down a right-footed shot from the center of the box to the top left corner.
This was Martinez’s second conversion in Copa after also scoring during their 2-0 victory against Canada on Thursday night (Friday morning in the Philippines).
