ILOILO City – Two notorious robbery suspects were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay General Hughes, City Proper district.
Aliases “Marvin,” 36, and “Edwin,” 33, both residents of Zone 10, Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district, were caught on Monday night, July 15, after they handed a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P6,500.
Captain Roque Gimeno III, officer-in-charge of the Iloilo City Police Station 1 (ICPS1), said the station’s Drug Enforcement Team seized a total of 22 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 67 grams and approximately valued at P455,600.
Gimeno said the suspects have cases of theft and robbery.
He also confirmed that Marvin was involved in a murder case in 2012 and had also been arrested seven times and was jailed due to theft.
The suspects were detained at ICPS1 pending the proper disposition and filing of charges./PN
