Marijuana plants uprooted, high-value drug suspect nabbed in Antique town

ANTIQUE – Police and anti-drug operatives uprooted 40 marijuana plants in a plantation in Barangay Sagua, Anini-y town around 6:39 p.m. on Monday, July 22.

Armed with a search warrant, joint operatives of the Antique Police Provincial Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Intelligent Unit, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Antique and Anini-y Municipal Police Station (MPS), also caught the 33-year-old resident Vincent Ro Solis.

Solis was classified as a high-value drug suspect.

Anini-y police said the seized marijuana was valued at approximately P150,000.

The suspect was detained at the Anini-y MPS.

He is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
