KAPAMILYA actress Ivana Alawi, who left the hit action-drama series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” last July 29 due to her busy schedule, broke her silence about the rumors of her attitude problems while working on the set. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, she explained herself and maintained that none of the allegations thrown against her are true.
Ivana’s last episode with “Batang Quiapo” reached more than 600,000 concurrent viewers – making it the all-time high record for the series.
“Yung sinasabi na umaalis ako na hindi pa tapos ‘yung taping, I’ve never done that. Unang-una alam ko malaki ang cost ng production so kahit lumagpas ako ng oras, wala akong commercial the next day, walang problema. Hindi ako nagsasabi na ‘o tapos na tayo aalis na ako,’” she shared.
Ivana maintained that she wasn’t written off the show but it was her own decision as she couldn’t juggle all her commitments anymore.
“So nag-catch up lahat ng commitments ko… As in nahuhuli na ako so, nagpaalam ako ng maayos sabi ko hindi na talaga kaya… So walang nangyaring tinanggal ako or something like that. That’s not true,” she revealed.
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya star expressed her gratitude for the role she was given in the hit action-drama series. She shared that playing Bubbles made her come out of comfort zone as she got to experience several styles of acting.
Ivana’s character in “Batang Quiapo” was shot by David (McCoy de Leon) which led to her death. (PUSH)
