AKLAN – A 42-year-old man was shot and killed by unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, in Barangay Venturanza, Banga town.
Romer De Juan, a resident of the said place, sustained gunshot wounds on his head, leg, stomach, and back part of his body. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Barangay captain Arnulfo Pastrana of Venturanza said they heard around eight gunshots before they found the wounded De Juan who was with his wife that time.
The couple was onboard the tricycle when the incident happened.
Pastrana added that the victim never had a heated argument with anyone and has no bad record in the barangay.
According to the Banga Municipal Police Station (MPS), the gunmen were wearing black jackets and helmets.
As of this writing, Banga MPS was investigating the incident further to identify the gunmen and establish the motive behind the shooting./PN
