ANTIQUE – A heated argument between a man and his brother-in-law resulted into a stabbing incident in Barangay Carit-an, Patnongon here.
Police identified the victim as alias “Istong”, 31, while the suspect was alias “Ontoy”, 26, both residents of the aforementioned barangay.
Captain Ryan Valenzuela, officer-in-charge of the Patnongon Municipal Police Station (MPS), said the victim went to his sister’s house on the night of August 14 and was confronted by his brother-in-law, alias “Nov,” who was drunk.
While at the height of a heated argument, Nov’s drinking buddy, Ontoy, pulled out his knife and stabbed the victim.
The victim sustained stab wounds on his stomach and chest. He was still recovering at the hospital.
Patnongon police were still hunting down the suspect who fled after the incident./PN
