ILOILO City – A total of 38 employees and three departments of the city government have been recognized for their remarkable dedication and commitment to public service.
Mayor Jerry Treñas, with Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, Civil Service Commission-Iloilo director John Esar David, and other city officials, led the awarding ceremony for the Search for the Most Outstanding City Government Employee and Outstanding Departments on August 19.
“Ang ini nga pasidungog sa aton mga empleyado kag departmento sang city hall aton ni pasalamat sa ila sa ila nga matuod-tuod nga serbisyo para sa aton mga pumoluyo sa syudad,” Mayor Treñas said.
The city mayor hopes that this year’s awardees will serve as inspiration and motivation to other City Hall employees to also do well in their work.
This yearly recognition, which was in line with the celebration of the 87th Charter Day of Iloilo City, was headed by the city government’s Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee.
It honors individuals who tirelessly work to uphold the principles of integrity and excellence and contribute to the exemplary performance of the city government.
Aside from the certification of recognition, each awardee also received a cash prize.
The Office of the City Treasurer was this year’s Most Outstanding Department under the Large Department Category with cash prize of P50,000 and trophy.
The Local Economic Enterprise Office and the Office of the City Budget Officer won the Medium Department Category and Small Department Category with P30,000 and P20,000 cash prize, respectively. (Iloilo City PIO)/PN
